The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs are a folk(ish)/Americana group hailing from Winston-Salem, NC. Formed in 2015, the band is comprised of Zack and Kendra Harding. The band is often joined by other musicians, including Ryan Packett, Wayne Redden (Log Noggins) and Trevor Walker (Wintervals). Their influences range from Neil Young to Regina Spektor. Blending their unique musical sensibilities, The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs seek to craft an entertaining experience that has a little something for everyone.

The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs are a folk/Americana group from Winston-Salem with a passion for bringing original music to audiences in North Carolina and beyond. Kendra and Zack began gig-swapping as solo artists in 2015. They bonded over these shared gigs, common love of dogs, and an enthusiasm for hiking, and decided to tie the knot in the fall of 2015. The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs officially formed in early 2016, and has been bringing songs of joy, pain, and dogs to audiences ever since.

Often joined by Ryan Packett, Trevor Walker (Wintervals), Wayne Redden (Log Noggins), and others, the Lightning Bugs combine their varied musical backgrounds to create a unique and fun musical experience for a wide audience of listeners.
